Michael Harkins BAcc CA
Michael is the owner of Murray & Henderson. He qualified as a CA in 1996 and then spent over 20 years overseas, working in a broad range of Finance senior management roles, in various countries. Michael’s current focus is on ensuring clients are ready for the upcoming ‘Making Tax Digital’ changes to the income tax regime.
Away from the office, Michael has three daughters who help to keep him busy and is also on the Board of Directors at Greenock Morton Football Club.
Eddie Murray CA
Eddie qualified as a CA back in 1975 and has worked in Public Practice throughout his career. He is the previous owner of Murray & Henderson and continues to help out on a consultancy basis. Eddie is well renowned for his Tax expertise and has provided Tax advice and guidance to countless individuals and companies over the years.
Eddie is a former rugby referee who officiated up to international level, although these days his main action takes place on the golf course.
Michael Reynolds BusAcc (Hons)
Michael is a qualified accountant who has worked at Murray & Henderson for over 30 years and is our expert on Charities accounting and assisting clients in implementing accounting software.
Michael is available to offer one-to-one advice and support on all aspects of accounting and book-keeping.
Stacey Gatens
Stacey is a specialist in Payroll and helps run the payroll bureau for a number of our larger clients. She is well known by all our client’s as being extremely helpful and responsive to their queries.
Outside the office, Stacey is a culinary expert and the lunches she brings into the office are the envy of her colleagues.
Nicole Murray BA
Nicole joined us in 2021 with a degree in Accountancy and 13 years of Tax Experience. She currently manages a portfolio of clients, assisting them in various areas, including Payroll, Bookkeeping and Accounts Preparation. She is a specialist in company formations and company secretarial work.
Nicole enjoys travelling and it’s often said, by her colleagues, that she spends more time on the beach than in the office 😉
Jack Neilson BA (Hons)
Jack graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Accountancy in 2024. He worked part-time with Murray & Henderson while studying for his degree and has now joined us full time, becoming the firm’s first ever CA trainee.
Jack is a big supporter of one half of the Old Firm although has been surprisingly quiet the past couple of years.
Amanda Watt MA (Hons)
Amanda joined Murray & Henderson as a Trainee in 2024, shortly after graduating from Glasgow University with a 1st Class Honours degree in English Literature.
Unsurprisingly, Amanda enjoys reading in her spare time!
